What’s the significance of Wind & Sparrow?
When I felt that certification was the direction I wanted to go, I went for it and knew it was meant for me. However, I did wrestle with the idea of offering sessions as a service outside of friends and family, as a business. I had to come to a place of knowing that I would have to make it my own, unique to who I am as a person and the journey I have traveled. I found my life coming to a point where it was time for something to change in my work. I felt that my daily life was void of depth and meaning. I longed to contribute to this world but wasn't sure how to do it. This was what pushed me to get certified. Still unsure of making it a business, I completed the certification. It was at that point that I knew that this was the direction my life was going. All the hopes and prayers I asked for was pointing to this. So I started to put Wind and Sparrow together but it did not yet have that name.
I do not make decisions lightly or very easily. I think and contemplate. I asked for guidance and divine leading. I believe that is what I got. I came to Wind and Sparrow while thinking about the Emotion Code. It’s a unique form of emotional release that I believe requires intention and believing in something we cannot see. This is where Wind comes in. The wind is hardly seen, but we all know it exists. We see it’s effects, we feel it, we can smell it, we can see it move through the world around us and we can hear it when we sit still and pay attention. It’s a force that moves through our world and changes things. I know that wind always has my attention. I am always aware of it’s presence.
The sparrow is a reminder. I am thankful for the many reminders and sources of inspiration that help me lead a life of wholeness as much as I possibly can. One source is from The Holy Bible where sparrows are mentioned many times. It is written that there are multitudes of sparrows that make them seem almost insignificant or not worth much in monetary value back in biblical times. Yet, God is aware when even one sparrow falls. And then it says how much more significant and valuable are me and you! The sparrow to me is a reminder of the love that the Creator has for each of us. It is also a symbol of freedom.
These two words represent my work and what I want to offer you. Hope, love and freedom.
