Who benefits from The Emotion Code?
Everyone! Literally everyone can benefit from The Emotion Code! Every person of every age (babies and children included) and every state of being can use The Emotion Code. It has also been used to help many pets. Any kind of domesticated animal can use The Emotion Code!
We are energetic beings. Everything around us is made up of energy. These energies come together to form matter all around us that we can both see and not see. Some energy is only felt like heat, wind and sound. We can also hear some of these energies before we can ever see them. We can see their effects on the world around us. So it is with our emotions too! We can't always see them. We can see their effects. We can see anger or joy on a person's face and in their body language. The energy in our emotions actually take up space. When we don't get to fully process negative emotions, this energy can then sit and store in our bodies leading to discomfort and disrupting our everyday living. By identifying and releasing these trapped emotions, we can enable our body to enter a state of healing and repair with peace and calm that could have been blocked before.

How do I prepare for a session?
There isn't a lot required in preparation for an Emotion Code Session. Intention is important and so it is encouraged to have an open mind about the process and the possibilities. Please be sure to be hydrated. You can ensure this by drinking a cup of water at the scheduled time of your session. I encourage mindfulness while you drink that water and welcome the release of things that you no longer need.
If you already booked a session, you would have filled out the Intake Form and completed and agreed to the terms and conditions. Payment is required at booking.
Other that that, you may go about your day. I also encourage the client to observe how they feel before and after.

How does The Emotion Code work? What does a session look like?
The Emotion Code is a special method discovered by Dr. Bradley Nelson that uses Applied Kinesiology or muscle testing to communicate with our subconscious mind. By connecting with our subconscious that stores all the information about us, we can access and identify any trapped emotions that may be harboring in our bodies. We simply identify the emotion, honor it and then let it go. Sometimes before releasing the emotion, the mind will want to bring more awareness about that emotion. We may identify and age or related person or event surrounding that emotion. It is not invasive. No other information is required from the individual.
A session is completed by a Certified Practitioner of Emotion Code to remotely connect to the energy you naturally generate. It's almost like dialing into your own radio frequency. With the individual's permission, yes or no questions are asked of the subconscious mind to identify any trapped emotions one by one. They will then be released one by one. Only a certain amount will be released. The individual can choose to work on a certain issue to see if any trapped emotions are related. A session typically take about 30 minutes. At the end of the session, notes that were taken will be emailed to the individual to review or for their record.

How do you use Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing) for your work? Especially long distance?
Applied Kinesiology is commonly used in holistic practices to communicate with your subconscious. Our muscles respond with reinforcement to positive energy and refusal or avoidance with negative energy. So we use yes or no questions to ask about trapped emotions and the body will respond with a "yes" or a "no" through the muscles.
We can use muscle testing remotely because our bodies emit energy. Much like heat, sound and wind is an energy that we cannot see, we do know it's there. It's almost like dialing into your own radio frequency. I will connect, with your permission, to you and the energy you are made of.

Is this different than talk therapy? What information do I need to provide?
Yes, this is different than talk therapy. It is highly encouraged to continue any therapies you are already participating in. The Emotion Code does not act as a substitute for any therapy or services being provided by licensed professionals.
That said, these sessions can be highly effective to finding relief from trapped emotions which may cause discomfort and disconnect in your life and the community around you.
A wonderful benefit of these sessions is that no one is required to divulge or disclose any personal information about any past or present thoughts, feeling or experiences. It does help to share with your certified practitioner what your goals are for your session. All that is required is your name, age, a few demographic details and an issue you might want to work on.
During the session, some personal details might come out but it is not a requirement for an individual to expand on anything the subconscious reveals. For example, maybe a trapped emotion of Unworthy, Heartache or Effort Unreceived is identified. If the subconscious reveals that other information is needed, we can sometimes get specifics about an age that the emotion was trapped. Also, we could find if it was related to a female or male peer, or a older family member, or even a teacher or a boss, etc. Sometimes, the individual will remember the exact event. In that case, the experience can be kept to that individual without talking about any other details. At other times, the individual may not remember anything. When this happens, we trust the subconscious and know that it interprets events in it's own way. The individual may never make a connection, the important thing is to trust the process and be open to letting go.

Can you explain more about the subconscious mind?
Our subconscious mind is an incredible part of our bodies. It is responsible for the functions in our body that we don't have to think about. It makes up to 95% of our brain power and takes care of heartbeat, breathing, digestion and other system functions. It stores all the information about you like your memories, your beliefs, your skills and all your previous experiences. It is your own data bank; the computer hard drive of your life. Fortunately, we can access and identify any trapped emotions that may be harboring in our bodies by connecting with the subconscious mind. There is an amazing amount of knowledge being shared that shows how incredible the subconscious mind is!

I'm not sure what I need help with? What kind of issues do you focus on?
This is really up to the individual. When I had my first session with a practitioner, I didn't know either. I knew I wasn't sleeping well and felt stressed. I felt tension in my shoulders and so that is what we focused on.
Your goals and focus can look like a variety of things. One may want to work on a fear of flying for example, or anxiety in large groups or gatherings, a fear of public speaking, a habit like biting nails, or it could be an overwhelming feeling of dread, panic, sadness and many others. The events surrounding any of these feelings, habits, or goals is not required to be shared.
At the time of booking, I require you to answer a few questions including listing some areas of focus. If you still aren't sure, please reach out before your session and we can talk through what might be a good goal for your session.

How can I expect to feel after a session?
Because of the nature of emotions and the energy that comes with them, many clients can expect to experience some processing symptoms after a session. Processing symptoms can vary from person to person. Some may not feel any processing signs. Others may feel tiredness, extreme fatigue or low energy. Hangover type feeling like headaches or feeling foggy can occur. It is also possible that some may feel echos of the emotions that were released during session.
Processing will not happen for everyone. If you do feel any processing symptoms remember to be gentle and patient with yourself and the process. Just as in life when we experience emotion in a current situation, it can take a lot. Then, when you consider that in each session multiple emotions can be cleared, it can take it's toll.
Much like when a person receives a massage, remember to drink plenty of water to help the toxins get flushed from the system.

What role does a practitioner play? Can I just release emotions on my own?
Yes! You absolutely can release emotions on your own. There are many modalities available to assist in the process of releasing stored emotions. If you feel that Emotion Code isn't right for you, or if for some reason you feel we are not a good fit, I encourage you to find a modality or another practitioner of The Emotion Code that will work for you.
I truly believe that letting go of this negative energy is a key to finding more health and vitality. I want that for myself and I want that for you!
My role as a certified practitioner is to guide you through this process in all that I have learned about this modality. There are many great resources that teach you how to do this yourself. I do not pretend to be great healer or someone capable of amazing things. I do claim to be someone who has learned about this valuable modality and am excited to bring it to others and hopefully help people find healing.

What if I want a session for my child? Is my permission enough?
The Emotion Code is designed to help anyone of any age. If you believe your child could benefit from an Emotion Code Session, all that is needed is your permission to do so. I accept parental consent for children 12 years old and under. I believe that once a child gets older and is able to decide for themselves, they need to consent for themselves and give permission for a session to be done for them.
As with any person, releasing trapped emotions does not guarantee and change in behavior but does have the potential to alleviate discomfort or overwhelming feelings that may be contributing to unwanted actions.

How would a session for my pet work? What benefits are there?
Your pet is likely to have trapped emotions. After all, they are many time or nearest and dearest form of comfort and love. Many times pets can have absorbed emotions from their owners. As such, they too, can experience adverse or negative emotions that were not fully processed and have become trapped causing discomfort or discontent.
These sessions are never a substitute for proper training.
If you pet is experiencing an onset of strange behavior, maybe a trapped emotion could be contributing. Perhaps you notice them displaying fear or anxiety towards something or in a certain situation. It's possible that they have a past emotion that can be presenting itself in these out of ordinary behaviors.
